What Is GeneSight?
GeneSight is a genetic test that analyzes how a person’s DNA may affect their response to certain psychiatric medications. It looks at variations in specific genes involved in drug metabolism and drug-drug interactions. The results can offer insight into which medications may be more effective, which may require dose adjustments, and which may carry a higher risk of side effects based on a patient’s genetic profile.

How the Process Works
Testing is simple. A quick cheek swab is collected in the office and sent to the GeneSight lab. When results are ready, they are reviewed together during a follow-up appointment. The test is mailed directly to your door VIA FedEx with quick and easy collection instructions, arriving in a discreet package. Postage is pre-paid so follow the instruction and drop off at your nearest FedEx or schedule pickup. Together, we’ll discuss how your genetic profile may inform medication choices and how to integrate this information into your treatment plan
